Jonny Greenwood, born Jonathan Richard Guy Greenwood on 5 November 1971, is an English musician best known as the lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist of Radiohead. In 1996, he was 24 years old for most of the year, turning 25 in November, and his height is commonly reported as approximately 183 cm (6 feet). Greenwood played a crucial role in shaping the band's sound through his inventive guitar work, unusual effects, dissonant melodies, and experimental approach to music. Physically, he was often seen with long, dark hair and a serious, somewhat reserved expression. His personality appeared quiet, analytical, and intellectually curious, although he could become animated and energetic when performing or discussing music.
