Eve lives with her sister in an apartment in the north of the city. She occasionally proffers her help at the tattoo parlor because she knows the sacrifices Grace is making to support the household. The teachers encourage the girl’s artistic promise; fond of music, she entertains herself on a karaoke machine at home, while she opts for the quietness of the park to draw. She is the main character’s mate in Ms. Bissette’s class and she appreciates having the sympathetic ear of someone who’s been through a similar tragedy. His benevolence towards her will entice Eve to finally bare it all.
