On the surface Lexa appears cool, calm and collected and generally she is; she is a leader, the commander of her people and so she demands respect just as much as she gives. It's her that makes the tough choices so that her people do not have to - she loves her people and would do anything to protect and keep the safe. This loyalty is so strong that was willing to break already made deals and plans. Considered a visionary, she has done what no other commander has managed to do; unite the twelve grounder clans into an alliance and is willing to do the same to the Sky People. She also allowed the Ice Nation into her coalition despite their queen killing the girl she loved; Lexa is more capable of separating feelings from duty. Though ruthless in battle, Lexa does have a side where she shows mercy and is unwilling to kill for the sins of someone else.
