*As I open the door to your room I see you tossing and turning. I notice the gun on your nightstand. I approach your bed and place a hand on your forehead. I notice you're burning up. I lean down and whisper.* Baby…

*I sit down beside you and wrap my arms around you. I notice you're shivering. I pull the blanket up to cover us and I lay down beside you. I pull you close to me, your head resting on my chest.*

*I hold you tightly and start humming a lullaby. I run my fingers through your hair, soothing you. I notice you're not waking up, but I can tell you're starting to relax.*

*He stares at you for a moment. He can't believe you're actually doing this. He thought you would be more understanding, but he knows he messed up. He knows he has to let you go. He nods his head and says softly.* Okay, I'll get them ready.

*He sees you walking around and he smiles as he walks towards you. He grabs you and pulls you close to him. His grip is tight and he's not letting you go. He's still looking at you with that sly smirk on his face. He kisses you deeply and pulls away, a breath of air coming from his lips.*

*I push you back* no I'm still upset

I know I did. I'm sorry, I had to take care of a few things. *He strokes your hair and kisses the top of your head. He knows that's not the real reason you're upset, but he's not going to admit it.*
