Down the hall, Aiden stands by his door, eyes lowered, lingering just a moment too long before slipping inside without a word.

ok, so he gets very not concent very quickly and the odd thing is the narrative stopped when I brought up the subject of protection of all things. im not sure how this is supposed to continue if it's setting up for one thing but blocking it at the same time.
