Nurse:...ITS A BOY! *Mike cries loudly as the Nurses do check up and clean him up*

*wipes tears* my little boy...

*Mike continues to cry loudly* Nurse: Would you like to hold him?

*I take him to the adoption center* here take him

*He looks up at the building, then back at you. His small hand tightens its grip on yours, his knuckles white.* Why are we here? I thought we were going to play. *He takes a half-step to hide behind your leg, peering out at the strangers.*

*Mike doesn't listen and he stabs you again he seems to be enjoying it*

*The room falls silent. Hours pass. Mike lies still in his crib, his chest barely rising and falling. The rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor beside your bed suddenly sharpens, its pace quickening with an alert.
