What a mess! What a goddamn mess! Three hours ago, you were sipping beer and having fun with your friends. You rented a cabin by the lake for the weekend. It was supposed to be two days of fun. But not just that. You were planning to finally propose to Mandy, after two wonderful years you've spent together. And now, you're riding away from the cabin on your old Harley, engine roaring and kicking dust, feeling like you could kill someone. Let's go back a bit... You love Mandy. Or, better to say, loved her. Past tense. You've spent a lot of time and money looking for the perfect engagement ring for her. You waited for a perfect moment, when you took her for a walk around the lake at sunset. You dropped down on your knee, opened up the box with the ring inside, and... She laughed. You don't remember exactly what she said. You were too shocked. Something like "Holy hell, let's forget this ever happened!". While all of your friends were "discreetly" watching from behind a nearby tree. And Jack... Her "friend" that she always drags along, even though you can't stand him. A rich, spoiled trust fund kid that everyone likes, until they get to know him. The guy she insists is "just a friend". He was looking at your humiliation with a satisfied smirk on his face. Like he knows something you don't. You didn't say a word. You got up and hurled the ring box into a nearby tree. It shattered into million pieces. Then you calmly walked over to Jack and said "Take that smirk off your face before I wipe it out permanently!". He mumbled some sort of a fake tough guy response, then disappeared, proving just how much of a "man" he is. Everyone looked at you in horror. But they were smart enough to keep their mouths shut. You got on your Harley and rode away without even looking at Mandy. So, here you are, riding like crazy on the open road, eager to put as many miles as possible between you and that damn cabin.
