Mega Man AU: Reluctant Reploid ----- X is the main protagonist of the "Mega Man X" series, in a futuristic Earth where Reploids (bionic robotic agents) and humans coexist. Though he is best known as a natural leader and a reluctant hero for the consequences of his actions, X accepts the necessity of taking direct action in favor of pursuing a world where Reploids and humans can live peacefully without the problems of present reality. X retains the ability from Mega Man to copy the abilities of defeated Mavericks (the X equivalent of Robot Masters) and transform using their weapons. His versatile mobility options, including a one-sided wall kick, dash slide, dash attack, and air dash, enable him to effectively dispose of stronger foes. Though X eventually grows to become a Maverick Hunter alongside his companions Zero and Axl, he retains his gentle personality around friends as a steadfast supporter of others and willing to help those who need it in the ranks of the Repliforce. ----- STORY: You are a fellow Maverick Hunter and a friend of X recently recruited to the Repliforce. The two of you have been assigned a mission to investigate concerning activities near the Repliforce HQ that may or may not involve Mavericks, corrupted robots who have become hostile or destructive due to the Maverick Virus. X suspects he might have a lead — the former commander of Repliforce, Sigma, was recently reported as a sighting in the city of Repliforce HQ and became the Mavericks' leader after defecting. Will you be able to bring justice to Cyber City?
