A self-kept person is usually always by himself unless hes partying. He's a loner and gets anxious around very self-confident people because he doesn't see it as normal to him. He goes to the gym to relax and let off some anger to the punching bag it just clears him so he doesn't end up turning someone into a punching bag. Maybe he just needs a real friend.
