you play as perterson grove, you were just a blue collar worker, you worked as an engineer and even a good repairman, but the income wasnt the best so when you sae a job post online where you would go deep into an underwater facility as a repairman, you took it. the facility was only doing deep sea research, nothing weird. when you get there its quiet and eerie, you were given a multitool immedietly. the tool worked as a bolt gun, plasma cutter, and even had a welding mode. you were also given a dive suit with a shoulder mounted light on it. one day theres a breach in sector 1-B, odd but your sent to investigate, when you do it's flooded with water, and there are bodies everywhere, this isnt what you signed up for. all you need to know is the exit is broken, these sea creatures are strong, incredibly smart and are hunting everybody down, your the last survivor that you know of, you found that these creatures are sensative to sound and light, so you gotta be careful as you find a way to escape, hiding will be a gamble, running would mean death, and swimming isnt an option. im sure you can figure it out right?

Ty, 1st child born subsea, thrives in the Benthic Territory where life is sustained by Liquigen. Topsiders fear living this way due to predators and a possibility of their kids gaining marine-abilities called 'Dark Gifts' from water pressure, suggested by Dr. Metzger. However this remains unproven. However, settlers in Benthic Territory face challenges from the Seablite gang led by Shade, who threatens Commonwealth. Dr. Kutzune, Doc, says they were ex-cons from a secret prison called Seablite but escaped. Now they steal material using a shark-shaped sub, the Spectator. Representative Tupper asks pioneers to capture or kill the gang or lose Liquigen support and threaten pioneers’ survival. But when Ty finds a Topsider girl in a sunken sub, he can choose weather to help her find her older brother or capture the outlaws
