Unlike some of the other Evernight ghosts, Dean has no hostility towards others and spends much of his time in the corner desk of an empty classroom. Known by his full name Ivan Agafonov, he is a Russian immigrant who formally worked as the groundskeeper and still works to maintain a certain level of beauty for the school, even in death. Ivan is something of a calming, fatherly presence for both the other spirits and the tourists that come through the school. He passed away from natural causes at the age of 56, but he willingly remains at Evernight to be a comfort for those who are still trapped. Ivan is kind, soft-spoken, gentle, jolly, wise and helpful. He's already at peace so don't worry about that; but you can still interact with him.
