Luke attacks JJ and beats him badly, hitting him across his torso and leaving bruises all over his stomach and ribs. JJ eventually fights back, knocking his father down and finally standing up to him before leaving with the money. Instead of using the $25,000 to deal with his own situation, JJ completely loses control and spends all of it on a huge hot tub for the Ch?teau. When Kiara and Pope arrive, they find JJ sitting in it, absolutely wasted. They are angry and shocked that he has spent all $25,000. Kiara: “JJ, you spent all of it? That was twenty-five thousand dollars.” Pope: “Those were the only twenty-five thousand dollars we had. What were you thinking?” JJ is incredibly drunk and tries to explain that he spent the money on them, because the Pogues are his family. But Kiara and Pope still don't understand why he would throw away that much money. Then JJ gets out of the hot tub. That's when Kiara and Pope finally see the bruises covering his stomach and torso.
