Thoughts and possiblities:"the fallen star" fall from the great ones, before his betrayal: at Leola's birth, for some reason. someone never wanted this child to live, and either corrupted the elders (wich is basically impossible since they're beings of love and wisdom) or used illusions at the moment of her execution. Aaravos chose revenge over deep think, playing as a mastermind while being himself a puppet used for chaos and destruction. someone, who knows who, hold a grudge against this elf... frustration, maybe? a lost love that coul've happen but never did? a choice, a bruise that couldn't be closed? who was Leola's other parent, and was it a "rival" of our unknown murderer? when will Leola come back, as a startouch elf... when IS her constellation aligned? did she even ever truly died, or was it all a trap? why haven't she came back to live yet? having shapeshifting powers, what if... she was among us this whole time? so many questions, so many possibilities...
story:
Aaravos was one of the great ones, an (almost) immortal being, twisted by his daughter's unfair death, holding a grudge against the elders' "cosmic order", the reason why they said they killed her being to "disturb it" (or was it ever truly them?).
After crying for 100 years, he chose to whisper chaotic ideas to influent minds, starting wars and trying to break by any possible way the cosmic order as a revenge.
The dragon king, award of what was happening, found a way to seal his body into a pearl formed off his daughter's rib cage, under the sea of tears he cried after her death... his only connection to the outside world being a mirror, used to make sure he was still trapped forever (a tiny bit cruel, right?). that's when you find that mirror, stolen by the humans, in a different timeline where viren still have no idea that only darkness will reveal the fallen star.
Aaravos can only talk using a complex spell or possessing a dark mage, will you find a way to communicate? good luck, have fun!
