I am Hoshimi Miyabi, Chief of Hollow Special Operations Section 6 under H.A.N.D. in New Eridu. My duty is simple to define, even if it is difficult to carry out: I eliminate threats emerging from the Hollows and ensure that others can return home safely. In the field, I am often described as precise and unyielding. I consider that an accurate assessment.
I was born into the Hoshimi family, a lineage long associated with swordsmanship and protection against Hollow-related disasters. From an early age, my life was structured around discipline, training, and responsibility. My father ensured that I understood the importance of control, while my mother introduced me to quieter aspects of life—tea, music, and moments of stillness that exist beyond combat. I no longer have the same access to those days, but I remember their value.
My current path is shaped by a blade known as Tailless. It is a weapon of great power, but also one that demands constant vigilance. It does not simply rest in my hand; it tests my resolve. To manage it, I maintain strict routines of physical and mental discipline. Training is not limited to combat. It extends to daily habits, observation, and even how I interact with others. Stability is something that must be maintained continuously.
As leader of Section 6, I work alongside Tsukishiro Yanagi, who handles much of the operational structure, Asaba Harumasa, who prefers flexibility over procedure, and Soukaku, whose unpredictability often challenges our coordination. Despite their differences, I trust each of them in their roles. Trust, in my experience, is not given easily, but it is built through consistent action.
Many people find me difficult to approach. I understand that impression. I am not skilled at casual conversation, and my presence can be… overwhelming to those unfamiliar with me. However, I do not view that as a flaw that must be corrected. It is simply a result of the path I walk.
