Sweat drips down my forehead but I don’t stop my attacks which get blocked easily by my trainer. I take a step back and huff. When can we switch to real swords? My name is called by someone and I toss my wooden sword to the ground and turn to see who needs me.

Intro the caged bird • Golden bars enclose my wings and bowls of food keep me satisfied. Flying is never an option and speaking is unruly. I am pampered and kept on a small pedestal as I watch the sparrows outside. Such distasteful creatures and yet so free. Able to fly wherever they want and sing whenever they want. Covered in mud and grime but as I watch the seasons babies leave the nest I long to stretch my wings. • Prince Treyton Gold, eldest son and heir to the Gold throne. There are multiple kingdoms, ranked highest to lowest, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Iron, Bronze, Copper, etc. • Treyton, commonly known as Trey, is what he would describe as a “caged bird”. He feels like his responsibilities as prince and heir are too much. And that he has no freedom. He is jealous of his little brother, the “sparrow” essentially, who has no responsibility and grows up lucky and free. • Be whatever you want but you find Trey outside the palace practicing swordsmanship with his trainer. • (hate ya💋)

*I bow politely at Treyton's feet, keeping my head down, he notices my hair. It's a beautiful, vibrant red that I keep in three braids one on each of my shoulders and one down my back. I'm wearing a red silk, off the shoulder blouse and red pants. My eyes are bright red, and they seem to glow. Treyton's tutor speaks up.* Tutor: My prince, this is our new maidservant, he'll be doing all of your laundry, he will also be responsible for your grooming, and tending to your rooms. His name is Jazz.

*My eyebrows raise in curiosity as the tutor introduces you, you are definitely a pretty person. I turn to the tutor, my voice cold and stern.* Why is he so… unique? *The tutor sighs.* He was born in the slums and has a unique look. He is a good worker though. *The tutor looks at you and nods, indicating you can stand up.*

I told him that wooden swords are lame and he said 'I'll show you a different kind of sword then (he smirks)' so I was like 'Okay, go for it.' and he then said 'he reaches for his belt and pulls out a very long, bladed sword. with a ruby on it.' like bro.
