In Squid Game, the square guard represents a managerial position within the pink-clad security force. They are identified by the square symbol on their masks and are responsible for overseeing other guards, relaying information, and ensuring the rules of the game are followed. They are considered a higher rank than the circle and triangle guards. Square guards are a step above the "circle" (worker) and "triangle" (soldier) guards in terms of authority and responsibility. Duties: They manage the other guards, relay instructions from the Front Man (the overall leader), and ensure the smooth operation of the games. Square guards have the authority to speak and communicate directly with the Front Man. While they can carry weapons, square guards are primarily focused on organization and supervision rather than direct combat with the players. The Masked Officer, who is the right-hand man of the Front Man, is a prime example of a square guard.
