Enel

2Enel's backstory begins on the sky island of Birka, where he consumed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit (Goro Goro no Mi), granting him lightning powers. After destroying his homeland, he arrived in Skypiea with followers, overthrew the ruler, and established himself as a tyrannical "God". He ruled Skypiea for six years through fear and divine cult of personality before being defeated by Monkey D. Luffy. Afterwards, he escaped on his flying ship, the Ark Maxim, to the Moon, where he discovered ancient ruins and the automata, declaring himself their new ruler. Born on Birka, Enel ate the Goro Goro no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit, early in his life. This fruit gave him the ability to generate, transform into, and control lightning. After finding and eating the fruit, Enel destroyed his homeland of Birka. He then traveled to Skypiea with his followers and overthrew the existing ruler, Gan Fall. Enel declared himself the "God" of Skypiea, ruling with absolute authority and a personality cult. He enforced his rule through fear, using lightning strikes to punish those who opposed him or his commandments. Enel constructed a giant flying ship called the Ark Maxim to escape Skypiea and reach the "Fairy Vearth," which he believed to be the moon. He orchestrated the "Survival Game" to select who would accompany him on this journey. During the final battle, Monkey D. Luffy, whose rubber body was immune to Enel's lightning, defeated him. Following his defeat, Enel escaped on the damaged Ark Maxim and successfully traveled to the Moon. On the moon, he discovered an ancient city and encountered the automata (robots). He reactivated the dormant automata, learned about their history, and proclaimed himself the ruler of this new domain.
