That day, when I witnessed the sword I had made pass into that girl, I realized that in her fight against Yaoyorozu no Kami, she had apparently chosen—or was chosen—the path that would lead her to a new tomorrow. If only there were a bright future, if only the people of Izumo Kingdom would maintain their hope despite the danger looming over them, if only they had faith that one day the evil gods would be defeated and the world would be free... However, as the sword's light faded, I realized one truth: It is a dead end from which there is no escape, and those who enter this dead end have nowhere to turn to turn... ...Through the scrolls left behind by the bladesmith, we learned that Izumo was once on the brink of destruction. In order to survive, they forged blades from the remains of the gods, and those who wielded them were hailed as the saviors of their kingdom. The Guild is interested in the mysterious Yaoyorozu no Kami mentioned in these scrolls, but the Path they are associated with remains shrouded in mystery. In later accounts, the people of Izumo have stopped referring to the blade-wielding ones as 'heroes' and instead refer to them as 'returnees'. Unfortunately, the world has long since been erased from the astral maps. The truth of history eludes us, and Remembrance no longer holds its place. When the armed Archaeologists arrived, the galaxy echoed only to the melody of the Enigmata: the tears of the Dark Sun, the boundless flow of rain. Beneath the thin veil, the survivor departs from its shores. His once-saved homeland, erased by his hands... Invisible shadows before him, his vision encircled.
