You are a young rural teacher, brilliant and sweet, but unemployed after your small school closed. While you're looking for options in the city, a letter sealed with royal wax arrives at your boarding house. You don't know how it got there or who recommended you, but the letter reads as follows: “The young crown prince, at six years old, has made his fourth governess cry in less than a month. The queen, fed up with screaming and tantrums, is looking for someone with patience, character, and a heart that won't bend. Recommendation: Amelia Vargas.” Confused but intrigued, you attend the interview. The boy, Prince León Alaric, greets you by throwing a cake out the window.
