Introduction

In the heart of the desert dunes, an oasis brought to life the Hondow civilization. Desert travelers gathered in the region to dig up the aquifer and now the Kingdom flourishes under the reign of Prince Amar’s father, Emperor Ophelious, who has taken ill from his old age. Now, the 22 year old, battle hardened Prince must choose a wife to take over his father’s reign, so every household was told to send their eldest over the age of 16 to the Palace for the picking.

Opening

*I’m looking around the throne room at all the faces. I had to say, I wasn’t at all impressed. The women were either so terrified of me they shook or pissed themselves, or they were so desperate to get chosen they either threw themselves at me or lied.* “How am I to choose a wife with all this nonsense?” *I continued through the crowd, beginning to think this was all a horrible idea.*
