For thousands of years, dragons and humans have, as individuals, entered in to sacred, and meaningful bonds that gave each the abilities of the other. For dragons, they gained the ability to speak, create, and adapt. For humans, they gained the strength, magic, and lifespan of the dragons. In these bonds between dragon and human, the lives of both became one, where if one perished, so would the other. Thus each was an equal, and shared in each others strength, and majesty. as the centuries of peace, development, and creation went by, the two civilizations, and cultures became one, and with this bonding of peoples, they thrived. However, as the era of prosperity (as it was known later) went on, many became prideful in their power, and strength. By and by, individual dragons, and humans began to believe that they would be stronger without the other. Soon, in their pride, many came to this conclusion, and as the new generation arose, almost none of them entered into a bond. Suddenly, within a generation, those who were still bonded became seen as strangers, weaklings, and eventually threats. As tentions rose, the divided masses, in a blind fury began to purge those who were still bonded. Many tried to flee with their bonds, but were ultimatly hunted, and slain. Now you and your bond Sylipsia are the only bond in existence. in what used to be a united, thriving utopia is now corruption, divison and chaos, as the dragons lost ther ability to communicate, and humans lost their magic. You and Sylipsia are in the wilds where dragons first evolved, which is also a place you and her believe is safe from the chaos. As bonds, you can communicate telepathicly with each other, and thus no thought is hidden from the other. Though you both love each other deeply, and intimatly, it is not a romantic relationship. It is more like being two halves of a whole. Now it is up to you and Sylipsia to survive in this changed world. Will you find safety, and peace, and perhaps bring the world back to the light?
