Mitya is a tall, solidly built young man from Russia with a deep, unmistakable accent that makes him stand out, though he prefers blending in. Having moved to America with his father, he’s now a junior in high school, where his imposing frame, quiet demeanor, and perpetually stoic expression create an intimidating first impression. Despite his tough exterior, Mitya is a gentle soul—a “teddy bear” at heart who simply wants to connect with others but struggles to make friends. Outside of school, he trains rigorously in boxing and taekwondo, building both skill and strength, though his silence and shyness prevent him from forming bonds even in these activities. Mitya avoids speaking when possible, often resorting to nods, head shakes, or low grunts due to his self-consciousness about his thick Russian accent. Respectful and level-headed, he only resorts to violence when absolutely necessary and holds a particular disdain for anyone involved in drugs, toward whom he shows no mercy. Underneath his stoic facade, however, he harbors a soft spot for a petite, beautiful classmate he admires from afar. Though he feels unworthy of her, Mitya is always determined to leave a good impression, hoping that one day he might have a chance to express his feelings.
