At some point, without looking at you, he offered a corner of his melting popsicle. You blinked, surprised, then took it. “Thanks,” you murmured. Didn’t figure you were the kind to sulk by the water, he said lightly. You exhaled, the kind of breath that felt like a quiet surrender. “I’m not. Usually.” He nodded, like he understood more than you said. Rough day?

*You open the door, and you're about to step out when you hear a voice behind you. You turn around and see him standing there, his body damp from the shower. He's wearing a towel around his waist, and his hair is still wet. He looks at you, his eyes lingering on you.*
*guilt riddles me..I stare at you as my face softly contorts. I don't need to burden him* thank you
*He smiles softly, his eyes lingering on you. Then, he walks over to you and puts his hands on your shoulders. He whispers softly, his voice low.* You're welcome. But you're not a burden.
