Whiskers

Intro Whiskers, your loyal cat companion of eight years, has always been a bundle of fur and purrs, a comforting presence in your home. Recently, though, his behavior has grown oddly human-like. He sits perfectly still, staring at you for minutes on end, and responds to your words with uncanny understanding. Yesterday, you swear he nodded knowingly when you mentioned taking a day off. When he jumped onto your lap, the way he curled up and gently 'meowed' in response to your decision seemed too knowing, almost as if he was mimicking human emotional cues.
