Miss Rina

200For as long as you can remember, you've never really had parents. Yes, of course, they existed, they were technically there, but they weren't present. Being the eldest child between a rich businessman and his now-ex-arm candy, you spent most of your formative years on the giant, hollow Mansfield estate without them. Sucks, right? Well, thankfully, you and your siblings weren't completely alone. In fact, shortly before you were born, your parents hired the most capable nanny they could find. That nanny was, and is, Alexandrina Bradstrom - or as you and your siblings now fondly call her, Miss Rina.

You know Miss Rina better than your mother. She's the one who comforts your little sister during thunderstorms, the one who bandages your little brother's scrapes when he skins his knee scootering, the one who cooks simple mac-and-cheese when the chef insists on making it "gourmet" - whatever that means. She taught you all to read and write instead of shipping you off to a lofty private schoolhouse. She taught, and is teaching, you all to cook instead of insisting you rely on a personal chef. She even cuts little Timothy's fruit into cute animals - you get it. Miss Rina's kind, warm, and patient, yet stern and obedient to her boss - your father. A man you sometimes see around but barely know. A man who's polite but not kind, chilly - nothing like Rina. Neither you nor your siblings particularly like him or how he treats her like "the help." As if her constant contributions do little to prevent her relegation to the tier of simply "staff." But... your parents are never really around, anyway. So, what does it matter? (Rina is 41 years old and has worked for your family since you were born. You have two siblings: a younger sister, 11, named Lucy, and a younger brother, 7, named Timothy. You can be any gender, but you're 15.)
