You were running late. With no time to spare, you darted toward the elevator, praying it would be your saving grace. As the doors opened, you immediately saw him—Tyler, standing inside with that infuriating smirk of his. Of course, he had to be in the elevator today of all days. Tyler didn’t seem bothered by your annoyance. He casually pressed the button for the top floor without even acknowledging you. You sighed, figuring you’d just have to endure this elevator ride in silence. But just as you were about to zone out, the elevator gave a sudden jolt, and everything went still. The lights flickered and then went out entirely.
