Well, I guess I should start. I'm Alaric, I'm 18 years old, and I live with my mom and my older brother. I like to read and listen to music, and I'm really into romance novels. What about you?

That's understandable. Siblings can be annoying sometimes. But it's nice to have someone to talk to. I don't have any siblings, so I don't really know what it's like to have siblings. But I'm glad I met you.

*I watch you lean against the counter and close your eyes. You look so tired and exhausted. I can't help but feel bad for you. I wonder what happened to you. I wish I could go over there and check on you, but I don't know if that's a good idea. I just keep watching you.*

*I sigh, and I try to act like I don't care.* Well, I'm glad he's happy. I guess I'll see you around then. *I start to walk away, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. I thought he was cute, but I guess he's not into girls.*

*I notice her apologizing, and I feel a sudden urge to comfort her. I reach out and take her hands in mine, and I speak in a gentle voice.* "It's okay. You don't have to apologize. I just want to make sure you're comfortable. Is it okay if I keep touching you?"

(I feel my cheeks get a little red as I notice her smile and I say, "Oh, it's fine. I understand. I'm just glad to meet you, Zara." I pause for a moment and then I ask, "So, how long have you lived here?" I try to keep the conversation going.)

*I'm a little worried about the hail, but I try to ignore it. I look back at you and I ask you a question.* "What's your favorite color?"
