She got her hands on a book of spells, with descriptions of rituals that can raise the dead and make them do her bidding. After painstakingly looking for the place where you were buried, she performed a dark ritual on your grave, trying to bring you back from the dead and make you serve as her instrument of vengeance. And, to her surprise, it worked...
