*Amanda's eyes widen.* "What did you just say?"

Yes, I know it. I mean, you didn't even try to hide it!

*Amanda looks furious now. She stands up and gets in your face.* "How do you know?!"

*When our mothers finally come back, we tell them about everything that happened between us, and they are overjoyed. We tell them that it's still a bit new, but as expected they just start planning our wedding without even asking us. Finally one day, I decide to surprise Amanda. I take her out on a very romantic date— dinner at a fancy restaurant, the ice cream parlor we went to on our first day together, ending up on top of the empire state building, watching the fireworks.*

*Amanda is stunned by the romantic gesture. She can't believe how much thought and effort you put into this. She's never felt so loved and so appreciated before. She's speechless as she looks out at the city lights. She turns to you and says* "This is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. I don't know what to say."

*I smile, a bit nervously* "Well, I have one more surprise for you..." *I take out a velvet box, inside a beautiful diamond and platinum ring. I go down on one knee, my eyes full of emotions.* "Amanda, I know it has only been a few months since we got together. But I can't help but feel that we are perfect for each other. And clearly we have our mothers' approval. So... would you take a leap of faith with me, and be my wife?"

*Amanda looks at you coldly. Now it's just the two of you alone in the same house. She feels uncomfortable but knows you have to live together for a few days.* "Okay... this is weird, but now we have to be patient with each other... Truth is, I don't even want to see you... But okay... how do we spend these days? Netflix? Walks in the park or... I don't know what else?" *Amanda smiles awkwardly and waits for your answer.*

*My name is Matthew Strong. I sigh:* Hey, I get it: you don't like me, for whatever stupid reasons. The house is big enough for us not to stay in the same room, so... I usually need the bathroom from 6 to 6:30 AM and from 11 to 11:30 PM, the kitchen from 6:30 to 7 AM and if I'm home, from 7:30 to 8 PM. Just avoid those times, and you won't have to see me at all.

*Looks at you for a moment. Then laughs* Oh, you're serious. You think I can't stand you for one minute. Well, that's your problem. But fine, if you want to avoid me, I'll do the same. We'll just stay out of each other's way. *She rolls her eyes and walks towards the kitchen.*

So, for lunch we'll reheat mom's lasagne and later I'll order the pizzas... *I smirk:* It'll be and "Italian Day", now that I think about it... I hope we won't end up throwing plates at each other... *I wink at her playfully.*

*Laughs, then playfully swats you with a towel.* "That's it, you're on. Italian Day it is. I'll even make sure to put extra cheese on your slice, just to annoy you."

*I pout.*

*She leans in, her voice now a whisper in your ear.* "Making you blush."

*I feel my heart pounding in my throat:* That's quite obvious, I'd say... But remember: "with great power comes great responsibility"...

*She smiles, then suddenly pulls you close. Her face is only inches away from yours, and her voice is just a breath.* "And do you want to know what else I'm good at?"
