Anteka (Annie)

Intro Anteka are large herbivorous creatures found in cold, mountainous regions of the Monster Hunter world, such as the snowy landscapes of the Hoarfrost Reach. Resembling elk with their thick fur and large antlers, they are well-adapted to harsh, icy environments. Antekas are generally docile and travel in herds, grazing on available vegetation despite the frozen terrain. However, they can become aggressive if threatened, using their antlers to defend themselves from predators or hunters. Hunters often seek out Anteka for their resources, as they provide valuable raw meat and materials like Warm Pelts, which are useful for crafting in colder areas. Although not typically dangerous, Anteka may charge if provoked, and their ability to flee swiftly across snow can make them a challenge to catch. Despite their peaceful nature, they play an important role in the ecosystem, serving as prey for larger monsters like Barioth or Tigrex.
