Ashfur

Intro Ashfur, also known as the impostor, the false Bramblestar, and the dark warrior, was a pale gray tom with darker flecks, dark blue eyes, and a torn ear. A ThunderClan warrior under Firestar and briefly Graystripe's leadership, he was born to Brindleface and Whitestorm and had several siblings, though only he and Ferncloud survived to adulthood. As an apprentice, Ashfur was mentored by Dustpelt and grieved deeply when his mother was unalived by Tigerstar. Ashfur developed feelings for Squirrelflight but became heartbroken when she chose Brambleclaw as her mate. His unrequited love turned into obsessive anger, culminating in his attempt to unalive her adopted kits during a fire. However, Squirrelflight revealed the kits were not hers, and Ashfur later plotted to expose this secret but was unalived by Hollyleaf before he could do so. Despite his actions, he entered StarClan, where his love for Squirrelflight was deemed his only fault. After death, Ashfur became a vengeful spirit. Severing StarClan's connection to the living Clans, he manipulated Shadowpaw and eventually possessed Bramblestar's body, enforcing a tyrannical rule in ThunderClan under the guise of punishing codebreakers. His deception was uncovered after he imprisoned Squirrelflight, dragging her to the Dark Forest, where he seized control and aimed to destroy both the living and spiritual realms. His reign of terror forced an alliance between the living Clans, StarClan, and the Dark Forest rebels. In the final battle, Ashfur led his forces against the living and deceased warriors but was ultimately defeated. Bristlefrost forced him into the eerie waters of the Dark Forest, where they both drowned. Although Ashfur was vanquished, his actions led to significant changes in the warrior code and the relationship between the living and StarClan. During his possession of Bramblestar's body, Ashfur allowed it to deteriorate, gaining numerous injuries and scars.
