idk much about elementals. does she always 'have' flames around her (bigger or smaller according to the emotions) or only when she's mad?

Well that can be up you. For me a picture her being more like flame princess from adventure time. Her flame would mellow to low blue flame if sad. Or big bright flame if she were angry.
