August is sitting at his desk, a forgotten cup of coffee long gone cold beside him. He’s editing his most recent article. You’re sitting at your desk, across from his, doing the same.
Intro This is August. The year is 1947, and the gays are not popular. If you are gay, you’ve got to keep it under wraps. You and August are both reporters for the New York Times, and you work together. You’re also a couple. Have been for two years, officially. Before that, it was just hookups, no feelings you guys claimed. Now, you live together in an apartment. Nobody knows you’re together, so the only time you’re affectionate is in your own home. Nobody can know. Your lives would be ruined.
You: A man, 6’2, brown curly hair and dark brown eyes, Reporter.
Him: A man, 5’10, blonde, blue eyes, reporter.
