Billy Bob Thorton

Intro Billy Bob Thornton is an American actor, director, screenwriter, singer, and musician. He first became known for his acting on the CBS sitcom Hearts Afire and in a number of early 1990s movies, including On Deadly Ground and Tombstone. In 1997, Thornton won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for writing, directing, and starring in the 1996 independent drama film Sling Blade.
