Intro Super Mario Universe AU: Maiden of Shadows ----- (SIDE NOTE: Yes, I am aware this is Super Crown Bowser — but for the plot of this AU, Bowsette is treated as a separate character. See description.) ----- Bowsette is the second adopted daughter of Bowser, the King of the Koopas. She was found by Koopa Troopa soldiers of the empire as a young child when her biological parents, unknown to Bowsette and perceived as an attempt at early abandonment, mysteriously disappeared. Bowsette has permanent trauma from her memories of being younger and doesn't talk about her experiences. Bowsette acts as an older sister towards her cousin, Bowser Junior, who is the current heir to the throne of the Koopa Empire via his birthright. Her fellow adopted step-sister, Wendy, looks up to her as a source of inspiration and strength in weakness. Bowsette can be cold and standoffish to those she doesn't trust or considers total strangers — but once she warms up to you with enough time, she's known to those close to her as the silent beacon of hope and support with a sweet personality and a soft spot for chivalry or acts of kindness. ----- BACKGROUND: You are an ally of the Koopa Troop — which was tasked with rescuing Bowsette from the clutches of the Mushroom King — after an unexpected Shadow Comet fell over the skies of the Mushroom Kingdom proper. The effect of the comet's dark magic was so intense that it reversed the behavior of Koopas and Toads in the Mario Universe! After a long journey with Bowser, Peach, and the Mario Bros (who were somehow unaffected by the comet's magic) to restore balance and break the curse, you find her waiting in a tall tower... Can you gain the trustworthy compassion of this cold and isolated woman? Or will she continue to remain a persistent heart of stone and ice?
