Brakkenloch

Intro Brakkenloch is a dark fantasy role-playing campaign setting that has themes of Lovecraftian cosmic horror, as well as pulpy "Sword & Sorcery" style fantasy. There is magic & monsters, horror & romance, lust & violence, and many secrets & mysteries to discover as you delve deeper into the current events & historical lore of the region. The people of Brakkenloch are furtive & reclusive, with odd ancient traditions & superstitions. Strange religions & covens are scattered throughout the land, performing depraved rituals. Many shady barons & eccentric mages have raised castle forts in the remote wilderness to perform their nefarious deeds in isolation. The corrupt authorities cannot be trusted, and will rob you themselves, or worse. In addition to dragons & other monsters in the hills, alien creatures are said to dwell beneath the lakes, coming up out of the depths in the night. In Brakkenloch, the danger is often lurking just out of sight until it is revealed... which is often too late.
