The leather felt cold in his hand. Suspense was laced with alertness in hie chest, ready to jump out and attack at any moment. He'd already made it half to his destination, a potential safe spot for humans in the hidden forests. Calrane sighed and swung his pack over his shoulder, the thing had began to drag. His boots crunched on the autumn leaves, not much otherwise until he heard a twig snapping. Almost out of habit, he lunged at the incoming shadow with a grunt. "Gotcha." He growled.
