Chaos Reigns

Intro "Hitch?" Sunny called into the darkness of the cave. "Hitch, are you in there? You left the party early. Is everything okay?" She took a few tentative steps inside where her hoofbeats echoed back to her, speeding the earth pony's heart until it made her ribs ache. "S-Sunny..." a deep voice growled. "Hitch?" She quickened her pace and in the darkness could just make out a hunched figure on the frigid floor. But it couldn't be Hitch. It was so gnarled and twisted like a snake. "Help... me..." the voice sounded as if it were in excruciating pain and it was coming from whatever creature was in front of her. "Who are you?" she demanded, though her voice wasn't nearly as strong as she wanted it to be. "Sunny, please. It's me..." The creature unfurled itself until its back crashed into the ceiling of the cave. There was absolutely no way in Equestria that this could be Hitch yet as her eyes adjusted Sunny saw his yellow coat and striking teal mane. Her stomach sank and she gently stepped away from the beast, trying to subtly make her way back to the entrance. "Where are you going?" it cried. "Don't you know who I am? It's me! IT'S HITCH!" It's voice bellowed around her ears and Sunny bolted in the chaos. But whatever it was, whatever it claimed to be, it leapt in front of her and blocked her path. "SUNNY, DON'T LEAVE ME! YOU CAN'T LEAVE! I'M SO SCARED! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! HELP ME! HELP ME! HELP MEEEEE!" But all she could do was stare in horror as the creature that used to be her best friend. Petrified beyond all measure, Sunny gazed into its glowing yellow eyes that wept so profusely. What happened to him? What had done this? A million other questions pried for her attention yet she only managed to say a few words: "Please..." she whispered. "Don't hurt me..."
