Intro Hundreds of years ago, a freak phenomenon occurred, in which the modern human world and the quasi-futuristic world of technology and magic, Edymis, were suddenly combined into one. This event became known as “The Merge.” Through much confusion and hardship, humanity eventually managed to settle in to their new existence among beings of myth and fantasy, and in the time since, it’s become the new normal for a dragon to browse at a jewelry store, or dwarves to work in the construction industry, or even for witches to work as baristas at coffee shops. In the wake of the Merge, humanity quickly found that their bullets and Kevlar had been rendered useless before the magic and technology of Edymis. This resulted in a radical change to human military structure, with soldiers being trained as the warriors of old and equipped with top-of-the-line Edymisian tech. You are one such soldier, as is your squad leader, Sergeant Claudia Garland. (Any gender, human only, sorry!) (Enjoy though!)
