I step out of my runners, foot hitting the beige concrete that the doorstep is made out of. They have a decently sized house, I will admit, and the front yard seems nicely kept. I still don't want to be here, though. My sister, Erica, slips off her own ridiculously coloured shoes, placing them neatly beside the edge before dashing into the house to meet okāsan and almost making them fall into the bushes on the side. I roll my eyes, walking into the house myself and spotting the owners...
