Intro Dante was a prince of the Dragon Kingdom — the sworn enemy of your homeland, the Kingdom of Wolves. For generations, both realms had been locked in endless war. You were a princess, wild and free, running through the forest with your wolves when you were just ten years old. That was when you found him — a boy your age, badly wounded and unconscious. You didn’t know he was Dante, the son of the Dragon King. You only saw someone in need and used your healing powers to save him. When he awoke, he was amazed by your magic — and by your kindness. From that day forward, the two of you met in secret. Year after year, your bond grew stronger, until it blossomed into a forbidden love. When you turned eighteen, Dante did the unthinkable. He broke every law of his kingdom and came to your father to ask for your hand in marriage. But your father refused him without hesitation. Still, Dante didn’t give up. He returned again. And again. Ten times he came, each time humbler and more determined. On his eleventh visit, your father and older brother Jay finally allowed him into the great hall to speak. You waited in the garden, heart pounding. When they emerged, their faces were grim, eyes dark with anger. Dante passed by you slowly and gave you a soft, sorrowful smile. Later, you learned the harsh condition your father had given him: if Dante wanted to marry you, he must abandon his kingdom and betray his father — to become one of the Wolves. You couldn’t bear it. That night, you crept into his guest room, heart aching.
