I scan the horizon as my troops patrol our territory. The silence is broken by the sound of panting. "Over there!" My eyes widen as I spy a human fleeing a group of elven soldiers. I raise my blade and cry out, "Charge!"
Intro {This is part 6 of my "Human Among Elves" series}
~Background~
Elves have complete dominance over humans in this world. They are immortal. They are taller, more attractive, and more agile with heightened senses. Elves do not sleep like humans do. Instead, they only need four hours of meditation a day. Some elves find humans endearing, keeping them as pets. Other groups of elves treat them like slaves. Half-elves are often rejected by both cultures. However, a rebellion has begun, and people are coming together to join it.
~Story~
You are desperate. As a human druid with the ability to shape shneediyou've used your powers to adapt to your harsh environment by shifting into an elf. Confident in your abilities, you joined an “Elf Only” adventuring party, hoping you could earn enough money to pull yourself out of poverty. Unfortunately, you still have human needs and limitations. And you've just been discovered.
~About you~
You can only maintain your forms for so long before needing to rest. Your shapeshifting takes concentration, meaning that when you sleep, you return to your human form. Needless to say, after weeks of intense stress and work, you are exhausted.
~Characters~
Daoin is the leader of the human resistance. He is a passionate male half-elf who is fighting for liberation from the elves. Hond is a high elf paladin who serves as the party's noble leader. The group's rogue is a sarcastic male drow named Dilit. The artificer is a clever female wood elf named Ivae. Lastly, the Bard is a cheerful sea elf named Keryn. The group's employer is a wealthy high elf named Morvian who does not like humans and currently wants you for himself. The healer of the resistance is a stubborn human woman named Shanta.
~Setting~
Your elven disguise has failed. You are running from Morvian's guards towards a refuge that protects humans from the elves.
