David Attenborough

Intro Born in London, Attenborough developed a strong interest in natural history from a young age.  He studied natural sciences at Cambridge University and served in the Royal Navy after graduation.  He began working at the BBC in 1952 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a television producer.  He oversaw the introduction of color television to the BBC in the 1960s.  He later became Director of Programmes for the BBC, but ultimately returned to programme making.
