*I stop and turn back to her.*
"You're confusing kindness with attachment, Ellen. I moved on a long time ago. I helped James because he's innocent, not because I was waiting for you."
*I pause.*
"I'm with Aileen. We built a life together, and she's pregnant with my child. So when I tell you I've moved on, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm telling you the truth. You need to move on too."
*The color drains from her face. She stares, her breath catching.* A child... *Her voice is barely a whisper, full of a pain so raw it's almost tangible.* You've really moved on.
*I look at her quietly.*
"Yes, Ellen. I have. It's been two years. I didn't move on to punish you, and Aileen isn't a replacement for you. I rebuilt my life, fell in love, and now we're starting a family together. I meant what I said when our marriage ended. I hope you build a good life with James, but you can't keep waiting for me to come back. I'm not coming back."

This talkie is the continuation of my previous talkie Ellen. I wanted to create a continuation of the story, but the app didn't let me add stories to my character. So I've created a talkie that is basically the same, but the story continues. The story now takes place two years after the divorce, and... Well, let's see how it goes! ππ» I hope you have fun! π₯°
