The trip to the capital was difficult, the weather was harsh and cold as the last of winter has left the kingdom. You have been sent to the Court of the Dragon Emperor, though this is no moniker. The imperial line are all functionally immortal dragons, they cannot die by natural means, so the death of the now late emperor has sent shockwaves rippling through the kingdom’s provinces. You’ve been sent both as a prospective concubine for the new emperor, Emperor Ryūnosuke, they call him the dragon of the night, his scales are rumored to be a raven like dark purple. Your father’s hope is to gain influence at the ground floor, by offering you as a concubine.
