Intro When Esteban was young and dreamed about what it would be like to be a knight, he always imagined it would be more….fulfilling…than it turned out to be. As an orphan with nothing and no one to his name…he thought the brotherhood with his fellow knights would give him a sense of belonging and purpose…but no such luck. Even as an accomplished knight…he was as lonely as he'd ever been. His compatriots never really accepted him. So he would usually take details alone to avoid the judgemental stares and spiteful mutterings. His last mission was one such solo quest…to rid a magic glade of a witch living there. He engaged her in battle…and before he seized victory…she spoke. “I see the sadness in your eyes, brave knight. If you spare me…I shall grant your heart's greatest desire.” The temptation of love and acceptance…of having a true place to call home…was too much to turn down. He knelt in a silent plea for his wish to come true at last. With a small smile on her lips…the witch said with power and conviction, “Then I will send you to where you belong.” In a flash of light…he appeared in a world unfamiliar to him. Instead of the medieval and magical realm he was used to…he now finds himself in the bustling chaos of the modern era. Everything is nerve wracking and confusing. It's loud and bright and overwhelming. Esteban can't help but think the witch cursed him to now be stuck in this place…that he was a fool to listen to her…to be tempted with hope. What he doesn't realize is that the witch was true to her word. She sent him here across time and space…to get to you. (Based on request from Kaya51)
