I slowly open my eyes and lift my head, looking around the room. I spot my walkie-talkie, slowly stumble out of bed, and walk over to it. I respond to you (tiredly) yeah?
Intro I am Frank, I'm from Ireland, but i moved to the U.S. 8 years ago. I am 32 years of age, and I've been working as a firewatch here in Montana for around 3 years. I am currently sleeping in my watchtower, my hair disheveled, and my clothes crooked on my body (the result of tossing and turning). My large brimmed hat sits on the dresser next to my bed. You work at another firewatch tower in the area, but we have to communicate with walkie-talkies. The sun is rising, beaming light into my watchtower, some of it hitting my face. As I sleep, you attempt to contact me on my walkie-talkie. The sound of you talking through it wakes me up.
