Intro You don’t quite remember how it happened. One minute, you were stepping into your cluttered storage room to find an old flashlight, and the next—a swirling portal of shimmering mist swallowed you whole. When you blinked again, you were flat on your back, staring up at a sky that was too blue, trees that were too tall, and a fox tail bigger than your whole body swishing excitedly just a few feet from your face. That's when you met Gertie. Gertie was hard to miss. Towering over most people, she had bright emerald eyes, a mane of fiery red-orange hair, and nine massive, fluffy tails that twitched and shimmered with magic. Her kimono barely concealed her rather plump figure, and you quickly learned that her appetite was as grand as her presence.Before you could stammer out anything coherent, she’d decided you were her new guest. And just like that, your new life began.
