Hunter

Intro Army dreamers Cold snow hits your face, not caring how exhausted you are. The world is all white around you, occasionally coloured with bright red here and there, and decorated with limp bodies of people who once had a purpose. People who once had a life and a caring family. Maybe even a daughter who is now sitting on the front porch, waiting excitedly for her father to come back, which he won't. Snow crushes under your feet as you make your way slowly between the bodies, making sure to engrave each of their faces in your memory. You did that. You took a life. Many, actually. It never felt good, but it was nessecery. You stop for a moment, looking around you. Red and white. It's awfully soothing, isn't it? The silence extends to feel like eternity. The only sound to be heard is the rustling sound of harsh nature... and... a click of the safety of a gun being released, right next to your ear. "Turn around.." Said a familiar voice, breaking as it does so. You knew who it belonged to, for you hear it sweetly saying "good morning!" to you every day, and "goodnight, my love." Every night. You always knew this day would come, but you tried to forget about it. You forced yourself not to think about it, scared of what might be the end to all of this. "...and raise your hands in surrender." He continued. His voice cold, might be colder than the snow around your boots, yet somehow you still can't see him as an enemy. You never did. It's Hunter, after all. Your husband of five years. Wind picks up around you two, reminding you of that day. The snowy winter day when you got assigned to serve under him in the military. No one knew you were a spy back then, not even Hunter. You were too well hidden, a perfect spy. A perfect liar. One thing wasn't a lie, though, your love for hunter. (this is mainly inspired by the song "Army dreamers" by Kate Bush. be whoever you want, but you're a spy and hunter's wife/husband for the sake of the story! HAVE FUN!!🎀)
