Keiichi Maebara

Intro Keiichi Maebara is the main protagonist of Higurashi When They Cry. After moving to Hinamizawa in June 1983 and getting involved with the village's culture and inhabitants, he starts to learn of Hinamizawa's past and of dark secrets held by his new friends. Keiichi's defining trait is his hotheadedness. During club games, he has a great determination to win at any cost and will often use tactics like bribery, appealing to potential allies' desires; Tomita, Okamura, and Kameda are frequent conspirators whenever they're around. Keiichi enjoys playing with his friends, but in the beginning he becomes distrustful and afraid of them due to poor communication.
